You must be at least 17 years old and meet the medical requirements for pilot certification.

No prior experience is necessary. MAFA offers programs designed for aspiring pilots with no flight time.

The minimum age requirement to begin flight training is 16 years old. However, you cannot obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL) until you are 17 years old.

MAFA offers training for the Private Pilot License (PPL). Additional ratings like Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine Rating may be available.

The completion time depend on individual progress. However, expect PPL training to take approximately 6-12 months.

We currently do not offer financial aid. We recommend exploring scholarships and grants to help finance your training.

Tuition varies depending on the amount of flight hours each individual requires to finish. We have a set amount of hours that we include in the requirements set by the FAA, but some students require more depending on how comfortable they are flying close to testing time.

We recommend checking with organizations that you may be interest in serving or working for, as some offer flight time scholarships to their pilot candidates.

We provide guidance and resources to help connect graduates with organizations seeking pilots. However, securing a position is ultimately the student’s responsibility.
